Tulsi's Heart-Wrenching Farewell to Her Comrades
Tulsi recently said farewell to nearly 200 soldiers from the Hawaii Army National Guard's 1/487th Field Artillery Battalion – the same unit she deployed with - as they left home to deploy to Afghanistan. For many, it will be their third or fourth deployment.
It's the little things that don't make the headlines that often take the biggest toll – like missing your child's first steps, seeing them off to school or teaching them how to drive.
We need to put politics aside and remember that these are men and women of all ages who are willing to put their lives on the line for our country and putting service above self. We must honor their great sacrifice by making sure they are only sent on missions that serve the interests of the American people and that keep us safe.
Tulsi is running for president to stop sending our troops to fight in costly, interventionist regime change wars, work to end the new Cold War and nuclear arms race.
Join us to ensure that the missions that our troops are sent on are truly worthy of the great sacrifices that they and their families are making.
