Tulsi Gabbard and Bernie Sanders

Throughout her career, she has proven that she will stand for what she believes in, no matter the consequence.

Heralded as the future of the Democratic party, in 2016 Gabbard resigned as Vice Chair of the DNC after repeatedly calling for more debates between Secretary Clinton and Senator Sanders – earning her the ire of many in the party establishment.

Tulsi Gabbard at Standing Rock

Tulsi Gabbard was the only member of Congress to travel across the country and join the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline that was set to desecrate their land and threaten to contaminate their water supply. And earlier this year, Tulsi stood in the streets with the people of Puerto Rico to protest the corruption in their government.

As a US soldier, Tulsi Gabbard doesn’t believe that her political position entitles her to special treatment. This summer, the Hawaii Army National Guard cited her position as a congresswoman and presidential candidate when they offered Tulsi a waiver to skip her two weeks of mandatory training. But Major Gabbard insisted on fulfilling her duty along with her brothers and sisters in uniform, becoming the first ever presidential candidate to be deployed on active duty.

Tulsi is a champion for:

  • Protecting our environment, ensuring clean water and air for generations to come
  • Investing in infrastructure and a green energy economy
  • Healthcare for all
  • Civil liberties and privacy
  • Support for small businesses
  • Criminal justice reform
  • Sustainable agriculture
